Adopt a City Lesson 6 – Global Winds
Objectives: How does the uneven heating of the Earth’s surface create wind?
- Lesson Plan:
- Review High and Low Pressure and the main types of air masses and their characteristics: CT, CP, MT, MP with Study Jam Video and notes
- Show real time/current winds around the globe – start locally and zoom out, what do you notice about the winds, their directions, and temperatures?
- Students will watch this Study Jam video on Air Pressure and Wind and complete the self guided notes (Google Docs view only, make a copy to edit)
